Should I take History or Rs for Gcse's? Plz help, loads of points for best answer.?We Answered:
It really depends on what subject you prefer, personally History interests me SOOOO much more. Religious Studies usually consists of watching abortion video's and that's really disturbing, its a lot about opinions whereas History is down core fact.
I just did my History mock today, and i do have to say it is A LOT of writing, but when i was revising it i realised how interesting all the things i learnt about are, and how much general knowledge for understanding our world today, and influences in politics and countries policies you begin to understand.
So yeah, do History for sure, oh plus History is better for Uni (opens up for more subjects if you do it for A levels)

Why not all educated youth including Engn.Doc .IT work in small town with less salary? We Answered:
I agree to ur point to some extent.. cost of living is less in villages, but at the same time basic financial facilities like loans for home, car or studies are not easily available. If govt. is ready to provide us some compensation or at least loan facility then youth will be happy to live in towns and villages. If the same facilities metros are getting, if the villages get, no one would like to go to metros to earn as the life in metro is much more stressed than that of the villages and towns. Govt. should seriously think about Development in rural areas and get some good industries there like IT, engineering, educational institutes etc..

Please help me get through this. Why is everyone so determined to make me a pessimist? We Answered:
I think your missing the point. Your friends and family are not trying to be pessimistic, they are upset because you are leaving and going so far away. New Orleans is a big change so they look at it only from a negative view point. The money aspect is just another negative from their view point. It will cost plenty of money for you to go with no guarantees that you will have a high paying job waiting for you when you graduate. I have a nephew in New Orleans. He learned underwater welding and makes big money. That makes it easier for his parents that he is so far away, because they know he will have a more comfortable life. If you keep being positive about the prospects ahead of you, I think you will find that they will come around. Let them know you will always stay a part of their lives. Reassure them that this is what you want and it will be good for you. With enough encouragement, I think they will come around.Katherine Said:

1 .agreed . the salary you mentioned is barely sufficient in the metros.2. if you live in a group , the expenses could be like this :
rent - 2-3k , food - 3-5k , transport - 500 , assuming each person has a 2 wheeler .
medical - variable . for eg .I spend almost nothing on medicines .
so , the overall expenses are around 6-10k per month . that is , if the person decides to live frugally.
3. depends on the individual . many villagers fall into heavy debts too . and not just farmers .
4. true . they can save a part of their salary .
5. you have a point , i guess .
6. good . we need more people like you to develop our country even faster.
7. not sure about that .
most of your points are valid . however , you missed out on a lot of things .
1. electricity and water problems are more frequent in villages
2. there is no source of entertainment ( I mean, the forms of entertainment available in cities )
3. many people feel it would hurt their STATUS if they shifted to villages .
4. children's education is very important for the indian middle class . there is no way a salaried person would compromise on that .
I have a few relatives living in villages ( rather big ones .decently prosperous . internet connection is quite reliable there ) . almost all of them have govt jobs , so they can lead their lives without any worry . luckily , the villages they live in have a few good schools and hospitals . they tell me that getting govt jobs in villages is not difficult for a graduate . at the same time , we find many unemployed youth desperately hunting for jobs in cities .
to sum it up , if the govt ensures electricity , water , connectivity ,education and healthcare , many people would be willing to shift to villages .

Career ADVICE?We Answered:
Sounds like you haven't made your mind up. (duh).break it down.... into "goals" that would make a better future. Lets pretend your 53 and have a Private Practice....In the "states". Insurance is still high, Medicare is not paying like it used to and your liability insurance is through the roof.
Would having the credentials to go over seas actually call its own weight in gold?
Lets face it, Health Care reform is not going anywhere, as long as the drug companies dominate level of treatments.
(didn't mean to go left field there)
Realistically, I'm just trying to shed light on the benefit of having the abilities to go and perform surgery in India or Europe, That is where most people with the "money" to do so are ending up anyway.
