Try a neti pot. It cleanses out the sinuses with a saline solution and has been by FAR the best thing for my allergies. Nose sprays just deaden the nose so you don't react to allergans, and pills stop working and shouldn't be taken very long. The neti pot has changed my life and I've been having allergies pretty much as long as I can remember! I woke up stuffy every morning, I've had SO many sinus headaches... Anywho, you'll find it's worth a try and very inexpensive.

Strangely enough, Oprah just mentioned the neti pot on her show...

I am in the same boat as your bf, with the asthma and allergies. I would recommend trying Claritin-D which is an over the counter medicine that works really well. The D is important. That stands for decongestant which will help with the sniffles and any coughing. If you can get a prescription, try Clarinex or Zyrtec, but you will need to add your own decongestant I don't believe they come in -D form. All the best!

Take your daughter into an allergist for an exam.

I have OAS from my pollen allergies and can't eat raw tofu because of it.

Also, loads of people I know have soy allergies and intolerances. It's being put in almost every processed food out there now and I bet many people are starting to suffer from over-exposure. I've started to realize it's not the great meat and dairy alternative like so many people think it is. It's presence in almost everything nowadays is going far beyond it being consumed in moderation.

I'm sure you can find a really great allergist in your city. Watch her symptoms and track them so you can give your allergist a clear picture of the problem.

rarely. don't get an animal that you are allergic to. it never works out, in the end you'll have heartbroken children & guilt about having to give away an animal that thought it had a home. get a hamster or something.
