What is the best cat allergy medicine?

We Answered:

It depends on what works for you. As far as I'm concerned, Allegra is the best allergy medicine; however, for some people, Zyrtec is another good medicine and is now OTC.

Cheryl Said:

can i get cat allergy medicine, but not in shots?

We Answered:

There are lots of allergy medicines that aren't shots. I believe the shots are mainly to build up your tolerance for a certain allergy, where as the other allergy medicines relieve your symptoms. I am mildly allergic to cats and have lived with them for several years. It depends on how severely you react to them.

Phyllis Said:

What is the best allergy medicine to take for a cat allergy?

We Answered:

I have allergies to just about everything, including a violent allergy to most cats and dogs. I have two Siamese cats, and have had them for about 10 years, but for some reason I'm barely allergic to them. Over-the-counter medicines never worked for me, so I go to an allergist. I use Nasonex nasal allergy spray daily, and it's wonderful. I never have to worry about going to someone's house who has pets. I'm totally unaffected by them now. I've been getting allergy shots for the last 3 years or so, and they really seem to be helping. To all the other answerers, the asker never said she has a cat.

Mike Said:

Can you give a cat allergy medicine if they have a sneeze?

We Answered:

Your cat might have a cold, respiratory infection or allergies. Either way, you'll need to take her to the Vet to be checked out. Never give a Cat medication that is meant for humans!

However, if it is allergies, you can give her 'Stimmune' which is an all natural treatment for recurrent infections, fatigue and allergies in cats.

Or if she has a respiratory infection, you could give her 'Respiratory Aid, which is also an all natrual treatment but it is used for treating respiratory infections such as colds, bronchitis and similar conditions.

I give my cats Respiratory Aid and I was able to buy it online here: http://www.petwellbeing.com/cat-cough-p7…
