Becoming a Holistic Nutritional Consultant, Global College of Natural Medicine? We Answered:
Sorry, nope. The GCNM website's "accreditation" page contains some misleading information. The school claims to be "accredited" by "American Naturopathic Medical Certification Board." That board is not recognized by any official body. The recognized governing body for naturopathic medicine in the US is the American Association of Naturopathic Physicians. (See www.naturopathic.org) And the real accredited naturopathic medical colleges/universities will likely not recognize any education provided by Global College. Undergraduate degrees that cover basic sciences/"pre-med" courses are required for admission to accredited nat med schools.
You can double check by contacting the AANP directly.
Good luck!!

By what organizations/boards do I need to be certified to practice private holistic medicine? We Answered:
check your state requirements. Some states do not recognize holistic health care and you may not be able to get a license in your state for this. You will also need insurance, malpractice so you need to see if your state has insurance that will cover this. Check with the better business bureau and see if this college has any reports on it and talk with other holistic health practitioners that have been in practice for a while, see if they have ever heard of this collage and also if there are any practitioners in your area see what additional requirements there may be. Good Luck.Larry Said:

Has anyone taken courses/enrolled in courses in the Global College for Natural Medicine? (GCNM)?We Answered:
With respect, I don't think I've seen such a dodgy website in a very long time.Any 'college' that includes on its front page such blatantly incorrect comments such as:
"Despite advances in modern medicine our health is worse today than ever before in our history!"
and
"The ‘sick care’ industry that figured out long ago that there’s a lot more money to be made in treating symptoms with drugs and surgeries in expensive hospitals than in patient education, prevention and natural medicine."
..should set anyone's alarm bells ringing. If they have such fundamentaly incorrect information emblazoned on their front page, what is the quality of their education likely to be?
Accreditation appears to not be through any recognised educational board, but rather something called the "American Naturopathic Medical Certification Board". Unless your qualification is recognised by your state educational board, then your bachelors or masters degree will not be recognised by any employer. This is something you probably should be concerned about if you are considering paying for those qualifications!
In all, the site looks so irregular I'd call it bordering on fraudulent.

What's the best path in terms of training for practicing natural medicine? We Answered:
most of it is pure quackery. You'd be required to ditch most of what you've been taught in Biology.Perhaps you should consider a more legitimate profession? There is only one kind of medicine, and that's the kind that works. If you want to be a Doctor then go to medical school.

Does anyone know about Global College of Natural Medicine? We Answered:
I wasn't too impressed with their web site. If it were me, I'd choose Trinity College of Natural Health. Clayton College of Natural Health is good, too; but Trinity is cheaper and just as good. The last I checked, several of Clayton's instructors graduated from Trinity.
