Explain DNA technology in medicine, ethics, and social issues? We Answered:
Well since they are still determining a cure for cancer, that should be the first place they begin. Cancer is a mutation of DNA.Also if stem cell research is being conducted, you would need to use the stem cells from the same organism. I also think that stem cell research should be conducted with animal stem cells and not human stem cells. It is not possible to use stem cells produced in a dish on another person because the DNA would not match. It is also unethical to experiment on humans.
Animal stem cell research is argumentably ethical.
Human stem cell research is UNETHICAL.

Which is better for someone interested in medicine- Neuroscience or Medical humanities and Ethics? We Answered:
Neuro over ethics. Neurolgical sciences are a major subject in medical school. Ethics MIGHT have a few hours in one semester. When I took the ethics course, it was pretty much a BS session that amounted to a mental health break in the middle of the day--once a week. Whereas Neuro was one of the harder courses.Joseph Said:
ethics in medicine..?We Answered:
While wanting to help people is often an important part of the medical profession, I don't see how it's an "abuse of medicine" to want to do the job because of the money. While doctors have an important job, they aren't fundamentally different from other human beings, nor should they somehow be expected to conform to saintly standards above those of other people. You are right that there are other ways to help people outside the medical profession, but that doesn't mean someone might not find some professions more enjoyable than the other. Doctors get better pay and more interesting work than a lot of the other professions you mention. The fact that you might be interested in a medical career for other reasons than helping people doesn't make you a bad person.
I work in a hospital myself. The doctors there are just normal people like you and me. There's nothing magical about them. They just have a different job.

Law and Ethics in Medicine? We Answered:
1. A medical assistant might or might not be a licensed practicioner. If unlicensed, the assistant might be guilty of applying faulty judgment or incorrect procedures in selecting a course of action. An insurance company might deem that the procedure falls outside the "standard of care" in which case its reimbursability is called into question.2. Defensive medicine by definition reduces the likelihood of a medical malpractice lawsuit. The possible negative consequences are numerous. Unnecessary testing, which may be costly, is only the beginning. Often there is a safe, noninvasive, cost-effective form of holistic therapy that is not FDA-approved but the practicioner is forced to select the risky, expensive, FDA-approved approach for fear of a malpractice suit. A whole other category is avoidance of high-risk procedures for fear that something can go wrong, especially in highly unpredictable areas like emergency medicine, obstetrics, or oncology.

ethics in medicine cystic fibrosis? We Answered:
If Darren declared his condition, he would most likely be unofficially discriminated against for a job or mortgage or any type of loan. It would be illegal for a potential employer to not hire him based solely on the fact that he has CF. It would also be illegal to reject his loan request for a house, car, or any other type of purchase.A health insurance agency may reject him, because some agencies will not cover people with pre-existing conditions like CF. While it is immoral, it is not illegal.
As his doctor or physiotherapist, I would advise Darren to not declare his condition. It is not required and would be illegal for an employer to ask during an interview. If he were to get a job and his employer fired him after finding out that he has CF, he could sue for wrongful termination.

Of course you have to spill the beans, the child's life is in your hands and to pass it off as a perfectly healthy baby just to maintain their already ruined relationship is malpractice.
