It's this "you're on your own" mentality that has plagued America since the beginning.

It's this idea that you deserve all of your prosperity, or all of your poverty, and that neither has anything to do with luck or opportunity.

These rich white kids are being brought up thinking daddy's rich because he worked hard, and lived the American dream, when really he was just one of the lucky ones to make it to the top.

You know, I laugh now. If people don't understand how this is going to work by now they are just lost in their fear.The Republicans know that they have a major lost they would be smart to try to redeem themselves and work with Obama to continue to bring this country into the positive on a united front then to continue with the lies and oppositions which makes them look so anti American.

We can talk until we are blue in the face and there will always be those few ignorant persons who are against the working for the people here in America...but believe me the opposition is not in the 10s of thousands of people like the ones who are having problems with their health care. This is checkmate. The good of the people have won. We have one more battle to fight in the senate later today, but I have courage that we will get it done.

The one thing is to provide low cost insurance for everyone. Insurance companies have a stranglehold on patients, doctors, and hospitals. The legal system, as well, controls much of the situation, at least from my perspective. And the government can be held accountable also. Leaders are fearful of taking away free choice from each person, but neglect to realize the dire need of many for some kind of health insurance coverage. It's a Catch 22, folks.

It is not a fact. In general all "nationalized health care plans" in free societies in the world work better than our "private system" in any sort of reasonable measure. That "claim" is simply propaganda fed to the ignorant and weak minded (Fox viewers) for the benefit of the insurance corporations and their bought politicians....but you know that.

hey ideogene. this such a sensitive topic for me. i had a friend that was one of those 45 k. i could easily become one of them. ive already been delaying treatment for some problems because i cant afford. them the gop are quick to call the usa a christian nation but what kind of christian values do they claim? this issue is such a no brainer to me. in fact i wonder at the morality of those that oppose it. my friend died at forty. he could have been a tax paying citizen for maybe twenty more years. for those opponents think about the economics of that. this isnt an economic issue though. if you have a relative that is suffering you help them no question. but somehow one party has lost touch of their humanity.
