Before you give up, try the apple cider vinegar remedy below. You can check the links at the bottom to see the positive feedback of people who have used this.Psoriasis Home Remedy
Organic Raw Apple Cider Vinegar (ACV):
1. Oral ACV: Slowly pour two teaspoons (to two tablespoons) of ACV over 1/4 teaspoon of baking soda. After it stops fizzing, add one cup of water and drink two to three times a day for four to five days a week (on an empty stomach).
2. Topical ACV: Apply ACV (or a 50/50 mix of ACV and water for sensitive skin) with a cotton ball or spray bottle or small towel for 30 minutes and repeat frequently throughout the day. It takes at least two weeks to see improvement.
A white distilled vinegar can also be used.

Holistic Health Career Options
Holistic Health Practitioners use a number of methods to provide alternative health care to their clients. Typical practices include acupuncture, herbology, essential oils, massage, reflexology, acupressure, Ancient Chinese Medicines, Yoga, Polarity, and more. In general, not every state requires holistic health practitioners to be licensed (depending on the specialty). Due to the increased interest, however, many programs offer training that takes a few months to a few years.
In September 2002, the current Californian governor, Gray Davis, signed a bill ensuring that holistic health practices could offer services without penalty or harassment from other medical practices. This lead to a major surge in schools offering holistic health certification programs. Today, California has a number of excellent schools teaching interested students skills required to run a holistic health practice.
Some counties in California require 1,000 hours of training before you can open your own holistic health practice. For example, San Diego County requires all holistic health practitioners to become licensed. A hands-on exam must be successfully completed, and membership in a nationally chartered holistic health organization is also required.
Under the new law, holistic health practitioners can practice holistic medicine providing they do not advise clients to stop using prescription medications, puncture the skin, prescribe any form of x-ray or radiation, treat a medical or psychological ailment that required medical care, conduct any surgery, treat any open wound with electrotheraphy, or set broken or fractured bones.
With a huge selection of holistic health schools, it can be hard to choose which is best. Look for schools that are praised by their students. It pays to go to area holistic practices and ask the holistic health specialists working in those practices where they received their training. Avoid online schools, while they are high on book learning, there truly is no way to get hands-on training.
Within any holistic health school, there are a number of programs that can be completed.
Holistic Health Practitioner:
The Holistic Health Practitioner program requires 100 hours that completed in six month's time. Courses include:
Anger Release
Ayruvedic System
Communication
Counseling Skills

Introduction to the Immune System
Lifestyle Balancing
Personal Goals
Principles of Holistic Health
Self-Awareness

Once all courses have been completed, a certificate is issued. It is a good idea to get additional training with a skilled holistic health practitioner before breaking out on your own however.
Holistic Massage:
Holistic Massage uses massage therapy as a means to clearing harmful stress and creating a stronger, healthier patient. California has many Holistic Massage schools. Generally, a program in Holistic Massage takes 120 hours to complete. If an advanced certificate is required, expect to put in over 250 hours of study and practice. The basic course is broken into five sections that start out with the basic classes and work upward. The 120 hour program includes classes in:

Rebirthing:
Rebirthing has been a highly debated practice for years. During a "rebirth" the client is tightly wrapped /tied into sheets and forced to work his or her way out of this artificial womb. The process is supposed to refresh the mind and soul releasing negative energy and regaining the calm sense of being from childhood. There are two levels in rebirthing. The basic program requires 100 hours. The Master program requires and additional 80 hours of training.
Courses in the basic program include:
Cellular Memory/Imprinting from Birth
Codependency
Internship
Introduction to Birth Trauma
Origin of Negative Thoughts
Perinatal Psychology
Preconception
Prenatal Capabilities
Primal Health
To gain the Master certificate in rebirthing, you must participate in five rebirthing sessions in a warm water environment, complete classes in self-esteem, ethics, and business principles.
If you do decide to get into holistic medicine, make sure you are meeting your county's requirements. Malpractice is an issue, so even with the change in Californian law, you are open to malpractice suits so make sure you purchase malpractice insurance. California is one of the only states in the United States to openly approve of holistic care, so make sure you are ready to join a fast growing health care movement that is going to keep you extremely busy for years to come.

Where can I find an authentic school for herbal medicine that starts in the spring? We Answered:
I'm just curious to know how you plan to determine what is "authentic" and what isn't. The whole premise is kind of ironic. Yes, there are schools for almost anything these days. My advice is this, if the subject is not taught and the program is not available in any regular college or university, then be skeptical. This is because colleges and universities have standards in place which causes them to take a truly academic approach. Yes, you'll find religion taught at private colleges, but the difference is that A.) they're private, B.) they usually don't pretend that their religion classes are scientific. In contrast, to teach alternative medical therapies like "herbal medicine", acupuncture, and chiropractic, is essentially taking an academically dishonest approach to higher learning. These practices are not backed by science, yet they want to appear like they are. Instead, they are popular for ideological reasons, and because so many people have been so mis-informed by alternative medical practitioners who didn't have a strong science background before entering those alternative schools.I know that I'm not going to change your mind in five minutes. It would take a long conversation that included many different topics. But my point is this, if you are determined to go to school for "herbal medicine", don't concern yourself with whether you think it is "authentic". It doesn't really matter. Anybody can start a "school" for anything, really. Yes, they might be accredited by some other entity, but when you really boil it down to who they are accredited by and what the accrediters are concerned with, it doesn't really prove any level of legitimacy. Whether you agree with that statement or not, lets just look at what it means for you. Once you graduate with a degree in "herbal medicine", you aren't going to get hired by a hospital or existing medical practice. So who exactly is going to judge the authenticity of your education? Nobody, except maybe your patients. Most likely you will start your own "practice", and be your own boss. The only people that will likely criticize your education are people like me on yahoo answers. And I can assure you that I will criticize it regardless of which school you attend.

Can someone give me some Herbal Medicine info?We Answered:
Herbs really do work! Our family alone has experienced better digestion, more energy, more restful sleep, no more need for Zyrtec, improved immunity, and no more joint pain/popping. People we know have used herbs against Crohn's disease, ear infections, chronic heartburn, thyroid problems, depression, diabetes, and high cholesterol. God truly gave us everything we ever needed in those first 6 days of creation!About 50 percent of pharmaceuticals were created by taking the herb & extracting the part that is beneficial & then binding it to a chemical. Many other pharmaceuticals, they actually synthesize the part of the herb that is beneficial & then bind it to a chemical. Aspirin is a good example...it came from White Willow Bark! Valium is another example, coming from Valerian. Valerian does not have the addictive side-effects that Valium does...and you will find it in herbal teas at your grocery store. Once a pharmaceutical company binds the property to a chemical, they can then patent it, test it, and sell it at a price that will help them recoup their costs & become profitable.
The reason you can't find solid research on herbs is because they are plants & research is very expensive. Take garlic, for instance. If a company were to spend all the money to prove conclusively the health benefits of garlic, they wouldn't be able to recoup their cost...because garlic is a food we can all pick up at the grocery store! So pharmaceutical companies are not going to spend money to test/verify it!
Natural remedies typically have a history of centuries of use in different cultures...they vary by culture due to that culture's location & what was grown there. Today, many receive benefit from reviving these remedies & thanks to modern transportation & technology, we have access to a variety of sources. It is imperative that you get the best quality herbs...coming from the correct plant part, harvested at the correct time of year, and from the location with the highest nutrient quality/lowest toxicity.
