Jock Itch Medicine
Rene Said:
What is the best OTC Jock Itch Medicine??We Answered:
You need to use an antifungal cream like Tinactin or Lotrimin. Both are very popular, effective, and are found in any pharmacy. If you also have athlete's foot (which is very common for those with jock itch), you can use the same cream since they are caused by the same agent.Daniel Said:
i have jock itch, how can i rid of it, what medicine or oitment needed? We Answered:
Keep the are REALLY clean (showers, changing after you feel sweaty at all, etc). This will make all the difference. There are some creams and ointments out there, some of them fungicidal/biocidal, but keeping yourself preened is tops for not getting it.Frank Said:

Good Medicine for Jock Itch?We Answered:
Here in OZ we call it "Jock Rot" which is very like tropical ulcers, extremely painful and really hard to get rid of. Normal antibiotics don't seem to work real well. On northern cattle stations the guy generally get it from sitting in the saddle for long periods and literally stewing in their own sweat. To prevent this most guy and gals don't wear any underwear or socks, but use a very liberal supply of talcom powder. this seems to work. If you already have it here are three suggestions that are variously used. The most effective is the application of honey. I will burn a little at first but will immediately start to work and even a bad case will disappear in 3-5 days. An aboriginal elder once told me that what his people do is tostand out naked in the rainand stay there until you cannot stand the cold any longer. Then don't dry off. I don't know if this works personally but he assured me it does. The third is to talk to your doctor about the best treatment for diptheria as it has been suggested that it is a form of that, although I don't know if it is widely known. I can vouch for the honey though having seen a number of cases fixed that way. I sympathize with you and wish you the best of luck. Try the honey first.
