Lester Said:
How are lasers used in medicine? What do they do in that situation? We Answered:
Lasers are used in eye surgery (lasik, etc.), vascular surgery, and many other places in medicine. Laser hair removal is another method of use, but physicians aren't always required.James Said:

pulsed lasers used in science and medicine produce very short bursts of electromagnetic energy. if the laser? We Answered:
Hi,Check the questions again. It is incoherent (yuk yuk...)
If the first question is, "how many wavelengths are found within the laser?", there is no correct answer as the laser is a device that generates radiation. If the first questions is, "how many wavelengths are found within the laser beam?" the answer is one (the problem states the wavelength is 1062 nm. If the first question is, "how many waves are found within the laser pulse?", the answer is:
# of waves = 32 ps x C / 1062 nm
= (32E-12 s x 3E8 m/s) / (1.062E-6 m)
= 90.4E2
= 9040
The second question is also poorly worded. I think the question should have been, "How short would the pulse need to be to fit only one wave?" The answer is:
pulse duration = (1.062E-6 m) / (3E8 m/s)
= 0.708E-14 s
= 7.08E-15 s
= 7.08 fs
Where fs = femtosecond.

Is it possible to permanently reduce the density of hair?We Answered:
It could happen, but it would get expensive as you have to be careful how you thin things down
