My son was on Zantac for a while. IT worked at first, but then seemed to not help and then to aggravate the reflux more. I’ve heard that that is common with Zantac, that you have to keep upping the dose for it to work. I eventually took him off of it completely and it cleared on it’s own. I know people whose kids have been on Prevacid and didn’t have the same problems as Zantac. Our pharmacist said he has had the best luck combining the two medications. All in all, it’s up to your doctor, but if one doesnt’ seem to be working, speak up! Most babies will outgrow it eventually, but if your baby is having trouble gaining weight because of it, you’ll definatley want him on something. The reflux never went away completely when he was on medication, but it wasn’t as much or as often as it was without it. Good luck!

you don't really need expensive chemicals that could kill you- do you?
try researching natural alternatives and lifestyle suggestions (not lying down flat after eating, no tight belts around stomach etc...)
