a. the controll group should be comparable in size to the expirimental group
b. both groups should be as similar as possible
c. same as b

For me Vicodin or Percocet is the best, but doctors are so stingy with it! So any of the "triptan" meds work well too, such as: Imitrex, Axert, Maxalt, Frova, Relpax, etc. These are all prescription meds and none of them have caffeine. I haven't found any OTC meds that help me at all and they tend to cause rebound headaches, especially Excedrin because of the caffeine. To me, if OTC meds relieve your 'migraine' then it's probably not a migraine to begin with!

sibelluim 10 mg at bedtime , prothiaden 75 mg at bedtime , encorate chrono 200 mg twice a day , Inderal 40 mg thrice a day are all effective medicine for preventing migraine attacks ,
