OK I do this all the time when I have a sore throat. All you need is table salt and warm water. What you do is you put about a quarter of table salt in the cup that your using and then fill it up with water. After you've done this gargle the salt water for thirty seconds. It will soothe your throat for a while. If your sore throat comes back then repeat again and again until the sore throat disappears! Another home remedy is having honey melt in your mouth and then let it run down your throat very slowly. Hope this helps!

I find that Beechams All In One does the trick, it's liquid and soothes your throat unlike others. I find liquids work better than tablets. If you want a tablet then get Benylin Day & Night as it gives you day tablets and 1 night tables for each day so you can sleep.

Mucinex tablets are the best and really work. That is the brand name so get the generic equivalent which is the same thing and cheaper.
