Natural Medicine For High Blood Pressure

Victor Said:

About High Blood Pressure?

We Answered:

I have had early symptoms of high blood pressure and since I made some changes with my lifestyle, I had been better. My blood pressure has been normal ever since - 100/60, 110/70, or sometimes 120/80. This has been my daily regimen:

- Eat plain yogurt with banana and almonds. I add splenda for sweetness. (Do not use artificial sweetener with aspartame like Equal or NutraSweet.)
- Take Flaxseed oil daily.
- Watch sodium intake. Too much sodium raises your blood pressure. If your blood pressure is too high, eliminate salt in your diet.
- When eating salads, I make my own dressing. Most salad dressings in the store contain too much sodium. For example, I mix balsamic vinegar, garlic olive oil, roasted sesame oil, a little bit of salt and pepper. There's nothing like home-made salad dressing. You could control what's in there.
- Drink soy milk daily.
- Eat nutritious cereals (heart healthy, watch sodium content).
- Limit your sugar intake. Excessive sugar causes inflammation inside your body.
- Eat a high-fiber diet and plenty of fruits and vegetables such as apples, asparagus, bananas, brocolli, cabbage, cantaloupe, eggplant, garlic, grapefruit, green leafy vegs., melons, peas, prunes, squash, shitake mushrooms, brown rice, oats, and sweet potatoes.
- Avoid foods such as aged cheeses and meats, anchovies, avocados, chocolate, fava beans, pickled herring, sour cream, caffeine, tobaccos, and wine.
- Helpful herbs are cayenne, parsley, and rosemary. Mix with cooking.
- Exercise regularly - stretching, aerobics, walking, playing tennis, swimming. If you know yoga, much better. Make sure that it's just light to moderate exercise as not to overexert yourself.
- Drink plenty of water, get sufficient sleep and as much as possible, avoid stress.
- Helpful nutrients: Calcium, Magnesium, Potassium, Co-Q10, Vitamin A & E, Ester C, Bromelain, Vitamin B complex.
- Have your blood pressure checked at least every 4-6 months.

Jerome Said:

What natural medicine, herbal, etc could I try for very high blood pressure? I have to come off some tablets.

We Answered:

Neither of these 2 tablets produces weight gain, though bisoprolol may make you tired and amlodipine can produce ' malaise'. You will not get control of your blood pressure with any herbal or natural products. Go back and see your GP. There are plenty of other medications he can try.

If you stop these drugs and your BP inevitably rises, you will risk heart attack or stroke.

Does anyone know a natural cure for high blood pressure without prescriptions?

We Answered:

Make sure you manage stress, sodium...it can be genetic. African American females have one of the highest % of high BP. Low fat diet, and try more fiber if you have coronary artery disease. Get plenty of rest and get regular check ups. I don't know about herbs. Maybe your doc could give you some alternative meds without side effects. You should tell him/her about the meds making you "sick". Tell him exactly how you feel.

We Answered:

You should be asking your doctor this question. It is, after all, a MEDICAL question.

Does anyone know of a natural all in one pill for high blood pressure?

We Answered:

If I where him I would take this one herb, it has very many positive testomonials, it's cheap and it works! Check it out right here. You have to be a member to view the entire article, but I'm sure you can google the name and you'll find it somewhere where you can view all of the info.

it is not, and I repeat not, a good idea to take hb pressure medication, it can literaly kill you, and you're hooked for life, once your hooked, theres no getting off. If you don't believe me, google it.

Note: This is an alternative solution to perscription drugs, but should not be the only treatment to rely on. A combination of good diet (less carbs and fat), more excercise and less stress all play an important role on getting rid of high blood pressure.

Eduardo Said:

Can someone tell me of an effective natural medicine which lowers high blood pressure?

We Answered:

You didn't mention your weight, but being at a healthy weight is the first thing to do. There is also some research out there that would indicate sea salt, as opposed to table salt. Table salt is just sodium chloride, but our bodies are made up of more than that. Sea salt more resembles our bodies natural make-up. Excessive table salt can bring about an imbalance. Sea salt can restore it.
