Is it true that SJSM (Saint James School of Medicine) in Bonaire cheat u? I've heard yes and no. wat say?We Answered:
never heard of itEdit: Try the following link, it might be of some help. They don't cheat you, but your degree might not be recognised in the US, and you might have difficulty getting a license to practice medicine in certain states in the United States. I think SJSM students have difficulty clearing the USMLE exam, owing to the inferior quality of education imparted.

Getting into Medical School?We Answered:
While yes, some smarts are required in college, it's all about how you apply yourself. If a med school (or even a college, for that matter) sees that you made a 3.7 but you shadowed doctors, volunteered in the community, etc. they'll take you over someone who made a 4.0 but only studied in his dorm room all day. Also fyi, you never take any Pre-Med classes in college. In the overwhelming majority of colleges I've seen, it's a concentration. You major in something else (hopefully to your choosing) and excel in it. Med schools even encourage you to major in something other than Bio or Chem to bring diversity of knowledge.
EDIT: You have to take Bio, Chem, Physics, and Calculus as part of the Pre-Med concentration.

Becoming a doctor, please help?We Answered:
I have no way of telling you if you are smart enough, but you need to pull a higher GPA in college than a 3.4. You want at least a 3.7GPA and a 32 on the MCAT to be competitive. Pre-Med programs are a waste, get a real degree like biochemistry, it will make you a better applicant. They are hard, but it depends on where you go. Going to an Ivy league will make them harder because the students are smarter. Don't be a Pre-Med Major, be a science major of some kind. The classes you need to apply to medical school are2 Gen Chem
2 Organic Chem
2 Gen Biology
2 Gen Physics
all with labs. 2 english, 1 calculus, and 1 stats class. Carribean schools are a joke, they will accept anyone, and most of them are not accredited. Meaning you wouldn't be able to work in the States without taking tests anyways. They are much more expensive, and they try and get you to drop out because they are FOR PROFIT. Unlike US medical schools, which are non-profit.
