Is it 'what am I sick with?'
It sounds like a bad cold.

Is it 'what is the medicine?'
I suspect that it was codeine. That is used in strong cough syrups.

Is it 'why was my voice weird?'
I don't think 'sounding weird' is a side effect of codeine, but I can't think of any other drug that has that as a side effect either. Perhaps you have mucus in your throat from the cold, and that affects your voice. Or maybe you are dehydrated and that makes your voice scratchy. Either way, I am sure it is temporary.

If you want more info, you can ask your mom for the name of the drug, then google for it. Probably the first link that comes up will be at nlm.nih - that is the National Library of Medicine at the National Institutes of Health. The write up about the drug will discuss side effects and you can look if it lists 'changed voice' as one.

I have been saying this for months now-AEG has something to do with his death. AEG is as guilty as Murray is. They all killed him and then they skipped happily all the way to the bank with all the money they made from the movie This Is It. Murray is just the fallguy-the scapegoat. I bet there is a swiss bank account under an alias name that has a nice fat amount of money placed in it by additional alias names waiting for Murray for his payout in killing Michael. And I bet the people giving him his payout for his "hit" on michael are AEG and the other slimeballs involved. Murray was a "hitman" plain and simple. However, Murray is also responsible because without that gear, and not being a qualified anesthesiologist, and without being in the proper setting, he should have therefore never given Michael the propofol. That's what it STILL boils down to. So he knew the dangers well enough to request the equipment/assistant and he proceded without it there is nothing involuntary this is FIRST DEGREE MURDER!

Now my question is so if this is true... then AEG knew all along what Murrays purpose was....why hasnt the DA gone after AEG?
The equipment is described as a "portable cardio pulmonary resuscitation unit ('CPR Machine'), saline, catheters, needles, a gurney and other mutually approved medical equipment necessary for the Services."

He supposedly had catheters, needles, and saline, well a bag of saline but it comes in other forms so that is vague. Those things would not have saved Michael's life. If you give meds that cause respiratory depression then you need things to fix that problem, like a ventilator or an oxygen tank with a bag-valve mask. That's why you don't give it for insomnia and don't give it in a house. Doctors know that. Yet,since he didn't get this "equipment" why did commence and continue his "treatment".In doing so he must have known that he was putting his patient in grave danger.

As a female and mother of two...I would say go with your gut. If you don't feel its right and you feel that your congestion and cough can be taking care of without medicine, then wait till your OB comes back and take the prescription to him and ask him. I would suggest drinking tea. Go to the store and by the flavored Green tea or anything that is warm to go down and that will help your cough. As far as congestion either buy a vaporizer or just use Vicks Vapor rub. Taking warm showers can also help relieve some of that. Just go with your gut. Women are very intuitive and usually know if its right for them or not. Good luck.
