What are the best medical universities in Australia? We Answered:
G'day,Wow... year 9 and already preparing for uni? You are a very cautious person and I meant it as compliment.
The Australian uni's offering medical are as follows (no particular orders):
ANU (www.anu.edu.au)
Bond Uni (www.bond.edu.au)
Griffith Uni (www.griffith.edu.au)
Uni of Adelaide (www.adelaide.edu.au)
James Cook (www.jcu.edu.au)
Uni of Melbourne (www.unimelb.edu.au)
Monash (www.monash.edu.au)
Murdoch Uni (www.murdoch.edu.au)
UNSW (www.unsw.edu.au)
Uni of Sydney (www.sydney.edu.au)
Uni of Western Aus (www.uwa.edu.au)
Uni of Notre Dame (www.nd.edu.au)
Uni of Tasmania (www.utas.edu.au)
Uni of Western Sydney (www.uws.edu.au)
Uni of Wollongong (www.wollongong.edu.au)
Uni of QLD (www.uq.edu.au)
Tuition fee & requirements will be available in those websites. Please make sure that the information you accessing are the ones for international students, not for local students, as there are some difference in regards to tuition fees.
In regards to English, it is very unlikely that you will be required to do IELTS test again, unless there's something in your VTAC results that gives them a reason to think that your English is not up to their required standards. After all... you will have to deal with patients in English and if you can't communicate well, it's gonna be a problem.
Hope this helps. Good luck for your study :)

Help on some colleges/Uni's in Australia....!?We Answered:
G'day,Some may argue that the university belongs to The Group of 8 (www.go8.edu.au) are the 'famous' one. However the group was formed just to unify the promotional effort. The members cannot claim that they are the best at everything that they offers.
There are only 42 (soon to be 43) universities in Australia, all of them are fully accredited and they are tightly regulated, therefore the quality and recognition of their graduates are equal from wherever university you are studying from. The most important thing is you have to READ the course information carefully, since some courses may have the same name but different content.
I suggest you to go to the online database below. It can show you which universities offer the area of study and their website. Once visited the website, please make sure that you access the information for international students, since some requirements, application form and fees are different than Australians'.
Once decided on the uni, fill in the application form and send it together with certified copy of your academic qualification. Depending on your country of origin, you may also need to submit an IELTS test results for proof of your English proficiency (www.ielts.org)
Living cost... Sydney and Canberra have the highest living cost, followed by Melbourne & Brisbane, then Perth, Darwin, Adelaide & Tasmania the lowest. I am attaching a weblink from one of the uni in Melbourne as an indication.
So with many options for your to choose, this is my suggestion to narrow down your choice:
1. Choose the city you want to study in. The consideration maybe the lifestyle, living cost and weather.
2. Find the area that you want to work/career in. Check if the uni's are offering the area.
Hope this helps. Good luck for your study and welcome to Australia :)

Studying in Australia?We Answered:
Most foreign degrees are not recognised in Australia. For example an engineering degree from the UK is the equivalent of the first year of a four degree in Australia. We just have a more thorough education system and higher standards. Most Australian students wouldnt know how much their university costs because we mostly go on HECS. HECS is a system where the government pays your university fees, and when you've finished your study you pay them back once you start to earn over a certain amount of money. As you would have to come on a student visa, you would not be eligible for HECS and would need to pay up front. So you're better off asking the specific university.
In Australia we generally dont move towns to study, which is why we have so many uni's. If I were you, I would first decide which city you want to live in and then research those uni's.
Im from Perth, in Western Australia and I went to Edith Cowan University. I liked it, it was the best for my degree (drama/education) but in most other areas it doesnt have a great reputation. Perth is also a very small city and extremely isolated. So if you want to be able to do a bit of travelling in Australia (see the Gold Coast, Sydney etc) Perth is a long way to travel. Earning potential is higher than anywhere else in the country but so is the cost of living, so in the end it evens out.

can i do this subject instead to get into medicine? We Answered:
health sounds like is would be a good choice but you'd have to check with the college or job before you apply as most are pretty strict about what subjects you need to have studied
