your not taking antibiotics your taking tamiflu an anti viral. i know very little about this drug. i dont take it. thats my choice. i never will. nor do i get vaccinated. i hardly ever get sick either. its up to you if you want to take it. your body seems to have fought off most of the virus by now. the natural way is eating healthy and exercise regularly to prevent illness. nothing you can do but rest and drink fluids after you are sick. our immune system is designed to prevent and minimize infections. you need to take care of yourself first not after you get sick.

Most people will do just fine with h1n1 ("swine") flu if they stay home and treat it like any other cold/flu/illness---rest, lots of fluids, tylenol, cold medicine, cough medicine, decongestant--whatever you need.

The prescription medication that is used to treat swine flu is only given to people who really need it---severe symptoms, compromised immune system, chronic illness, etc. If you fit into one of those categories and were told you needed to take the prescription medication, then you need to take the prescription medication. Your doctor would not give it to you if you didn't need it.

If you were given a prescription for medication and can't afford it, please call your doctor and let her know what is going on. She may be able to give you samples or help figure out a way for you to get this medication.
