Can my fiance take medicine while she is pregnant? We Answered:
NOOOOOOO!!! A resounding NOOOO! Aspirin causes fetal bleeding, which means you may end up with a still born child. STOP TAKING OTC's immediately. Pepto is not recommended for pregnant women - Gaviscon is ok, tums in moderation is ok, tylenol is ok (not tylenol with codeine though - it will kill the baby - new discovery) some throat lozenges are okay but not halls or any with numbing agents in them. She needs to see her doctor asap so that an ultrasound can be done to be sure she hasn't done any damage. There have been many links between otc's and undeveloped or mutated development in babies - Tell her to STOP, and start talking to the pharmacist before buying anything else.Ron Said:

You can always call your doctors office to ask such a question--you don't have to wait until your appointment! DO NOT get medical advice from even well-intentioned strangers here at Yahoo Answers--CALL YOUR DOCTOR.Joanne Said:

what over the counter medicine can i take for a cold while pregnant? We Answered:
Here is the medication list I got in my OB packet from my hospital.Sudafed, Robitussin DM or Plain, Chloroseptic Lozenges or Spray, Cepacol Lozenges, Vicks Vapor Rub, Normal Saline Drops. I also used a Tylenol product when I was sick called Tylenol Cough and Sore Throat. It's a bright blue liquid in a squarish shaped bottle, and tastes like crap lol

Tylenol products are okay to use when your pregnant if you must take medicine. I read it in the what to expect book and also my doctor confirmed it for me when i had a cold at 14 wks. Congrats and good luck!!
