I need help finding my career (health care related)?

We Answered:

You can look at being a pediatric nurse, and it's a good living, but it's not going to be "really good money".

I don't know what you consider "really good money", but if we are talking over $75k a year, then you are going to need more than a 4-year degree. Physician's Assistants make around $90k/year, but it requires 6-7 years of schooling. Physicians will make usually anywhere from $75k up to $1,000,000/year, but it will depend on speciality and you are going to need closer to 12 years post high school before you are in practice.

I need a career. Health care industry. Do not want to nurse.?

I would definitely try to go for an xray tech or lab tech. I'm an xray tech and I'm able to support me and my little girl (shes about to be one) The only thing with xray is it takes 2 years to finish. Would your mom let you stay there til then? Its really worth it. I"m not exactly sure how long school is for a laboratory tech. Skills like these take time though. I ended up being a waitress while I finished school and now I work 40 hours a week and never live paycheck to paycheck anymore.
