You have a tough job. Trying to find staff personnel to fill positions in itself, is difficult. Then, yeah, you have to deal with the phone calls. But, there will be times that the phone won't ring in the middle of the night. Since you just recently started this job, there are still things that you may not be familiar with. As you gain experience, you will be able to know who is reliable in agreeing to work a shift. If you cannot fill a position and tried all options then, there really isn't anything else that you can do. As long as you do the best that you can, then so be it. You can't make people call you back and you cannot always be able to fill positions. Yeah, not easy. But, I think that the pay that you are getting is pretty good. Just hang in there and, in time, you will be able to handle the difficulties of your job. I hope that this helps and Good Luck.
