Best Paying Nursing Careers

Lillian Said:

I'm a LVN, but want to expand my career in nursing which is best? pays the most?

We Answered:

Nursing means dealing with patients. I sense you just care more about earning money than taking care of the patients.

Shameful.

Leo Said:

What is one of the best short term careers in souther california for women???how is the pay?

We Answered:

There is no such thing as "short term career".
Nice oxymoron, though!
There is certainly no such thing as "short term, great pay"
Great pay comes with experience and knowledge.

You can't ask others what YOU should do for a career. You need to find a passion in life and pursue it.

There is certainly no such thing as "short term nursing" either.

Find your true love of labor and eventually the pay will come.

Good luck to you.

Judy Said:

nursing or physiotherapy? Whats the best? Most enjoyable?Best pay?Best career?

We Answered:

Well, I admit I am biased (an RN who works in a hospital, labor & delivery), and to be perfectly honest, I don't know alot about physiotheraphy. What I can tell you about nursing is that there is by far, more job security - huge nursing shortage that is only going to increase over the next 10 years. Pay is excellent - starting pay for RNs is approximately $40-$50k per year (depends on work setting). The very best thing about nursing is the endless avenues or specialty areas that are available to you, so if you work for awhile and find you don't like what you're doing, there is always something else you can do. Clinics, hospitals, nurse educators, nurse managers, case managers, consultants, home care, nursing home, travel nursing, etc. Opportunities are endless.

What are some of the best paying Certificate jobs?

We Answered:

Well I wanted to know the same thing and I decided to go into a welding program even though I'm a girl. I heard they make about 45000 a year, at least in my state after they become certified(by taking a test). The training will take me a year for going full time. I think welding is a lot more bad *** than nursing, etc. My friend is going for massage therapy, and she plans on getting a job on a cruise line so she can travel and stuff. I'm not sure what people like that make, but it would be a great experience and honestly , massage therapists are everywhere these days! Nursing(CNA) programs are about a year, but they do all the dirty work and get crappy money. The only way to get somewhere is go back to school and either become an LPN or an RN(most RN's have bachelor degrees and make tons of money!). I dont think that one is worth it. My aunt went to school for cosmetology, and she says it was a waste because unless you get hired at a top notch salon etc, you do a lot of work for VERY little money. The only thing that was cool about that is she learned a lot of stuff for herself and family/friends. Hope this helped!
