Books On Nursing Careers

Anita Said:

choosing a major/career?

We Answered:

Your best bet would be to talk to an academic advisor and see how the courses you have already taken can be used towards nursing or school counselor. Not all nurses start in the er, but it can still be fairly demanding work. It is shift work, although that may work for you now, do you really want to be working 12 hour shifts at any hour of the day? How will this work when you want to start a family? Are you comfortable with working on weekends? You may be required to do a couple shifts in er, but you can specialize in different fields such as geriatrics or paediatrics. Also, the pay is fairly well.

Maybe you could ask to job shadow a school counselor or a nurse and see what you are really interested in. Or even talk to students in nursing and see what it really entails.

It is frustrating picking a major/career. I've changed my major 3 times and quit school after two years so I could run around europe to, "find myself". I'm in school now...almost done, and happy with my choice - economics.

I need help finding books about surgical nursing?

We Answered:

Surgical nurses, also known as perioperative nurses or operating room nurses, are registered nurses (RNs) who provide patients with care and support before, during and after surgery. Surgical nurses must earn a Bachelor of Science degree in Nursing (BSN), an associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) or a diploma and then completing a national licensing examination, the NCLEX-RN. Most surgical nurses begin their careers as general practice nurses, before developing the specialized skills needed to succeed in the operating room.

can you download your science studies on kindle?

We Answered:

Yes, just look up here to do a search, see if your books are available on the Kindle:

I do suggest the Kindle which has the best support on college textbooks. I've mentioned quite a lot about textbooks on the Amazon Kindle, in another answer here:

http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index?…

And for reading college books, you may want to go for the Kindle DX (the new Kindle DX Graphite version is now at cheaper price and with better contrast). Read this review and you should be able to decide which one to get:

Hope this helps.

We Answered:

suggest
acquiring reading re-reading take notes of
'48 days to work u love' d.miller
'what colour is ur parachute'
'total money make over' d.ramsey
the books will give u insite into what u like and may be best at.
note a 'job' u love becomes a vocation not a 'JOB' and u'll earn more $$.
the other book will assist u in keeping ur money and not becoming a slave to debt.

mandatory reading for our associates.
