Bsn Nursing Jobs

Violet Said:

What jobs required BSN (bachelor degree of science in nursing)?

We Answered:

Clinical Nurse Specialist, Nurse Practitioner and Nurse Anesthetist will need MSN. And Nurse Anesthetist will also need 2 years experience in the Critical Care/ICU...prior to MSN Program.
Case Manager, Unit Manager will need a BSN, but you will probably have to start from a Staff Nurse position.
Is the U.S. giving out the H1B right now? Some say they are not for now!
Some hospitals with Magnet Awards will need you to have the BSN in order to get into a Staff Nurse position--NYU Medical Center is one and Mt. Sinai is another--they will not take the ADN-and their overturn rates are low comparing to the public hospitals.
Between an ADN and BSN, BSN is always preferred for sure.

Arlene Said:

Will a Nursing BSN get me a job immediately after graduation?

We Answered:

Nursing is a high-demand field, so you should be okay. If your loans are Direct, they are easy enough to work with if you need to lower your payments or defer.

Add: Yep, private lenders are not as flexible :(

Wanda Said:

Is it difficult to find a nursing job without a BSN?

We Answered:

It is NOT difficult to get a job as an RN with only an ASN degree. It is true that BSNs make more money, and they promote faster to supervising roles. But you can still make a good living with an ASN.

Right now, the job market for nurses puts all the control in the nurses' hands. Hospitals and clinics will fight over you. Take advantage of it. good luck!

Evelyn Said:

What jobs can i apply for when I'm finished with my BSN?

We Answered:

The BSN is the DEGREE you get from school (bachelors) so it comes first. Once you finish & graduate you can take the NCLEX exam and passing gives you the R--registered nurse. (an ADN or associated degree in nursing will also lead to a RN as well). You can apply to any entry level nursing position. Most start in a hospital for the general experience.

Anna Said:

What jobs can i get with college degree in nursing?

We Answered:

If you have a degree in nursing, guess what: you can work as a nurse once you pass the NCLEX. In order to have a degree or a diploma in nursing, it means that you went through a program, including classroom time, lab time, clinical time, and preceptorship time.

You can become an LPN, or RN with either a diploma or ADN and bridge to BSN, but you will already be a nurse. If you are an RN and bridge to BSN, you won't have to retake the NCLEX-RN. If you are an LPN and become an RN of any sort, you will have to take the NCLEX-RN.
