Career Change For Nurses
Veronica Said:
What career can i change to?We Answered:
IT requires a lot of knowledge and a desire to continue your education. Working in IT means you will forever be teaching yourself new technologies as they advance, otherwise you will fall behind if you don't. Nursing and banking, on the other hand, don't really change much so once you know how to do it you are pretty much set. There are not a lot of women that work in IT, and I believe it's mostly because you have to be a geek to do well in it. If you are a tech geek, then you will be perfect, if not, maybe nursing would suit you better.Elsie Said:
Are there any nurses out their that made a career change? We Answered:
I was a LPN ( same as an LVN) for about 20 yrs. I loved the patient care part, but I was doing less and less of that, and more and more paperwork. I decided 2 yrs ago to go back to school. I'm graduating in May with a degree in Paralegal Studies, and started working for an attorney about 6 months ago, part time. I've never doubted my decision to go back to school!! I really love what i'm doing now.
