Keith Said:
What is the best college to go to for a career in Nursing? We Answered:
Any university that has an accredited nursing school has to be good because of the standards that must meet to be accredited. No matter where you go, you have to learn the same stuff to pass the NCLEX-RN exam. Definately go for your bachelor's degree because many hospitals now are only hiring bachelor's prepared RNs. The days of 2 year programs are ending. Nurses need a broader educational base because of all that they are held accountable for.Make sure you get your applications in now because nursing schools are becoming extremely hard to get into. Because of the economy, more people want to become nurses because there is a need for them, but schools can only accept a certain number of students because of lack of teaching staff. For clinical rotations, there can only be small groups because you are in an actual health care setting and you can't have 50 people standing around in the way.
Take it from me, go to whatever school fits you best. What environment is best for you? Who gives you the most financial aid? Who has the best student outcomes? ETC. ETC. ETC.
