Career Development Nursing

Mabel Said:

How many years of educations does it take to be a CNA?

We Answered:

If you have a high school diploma or GED it usually takes anywhere from10 - 16 weeks to complete the course and the field work. However it appears like you are in high school too. If your school has the health education course then you should take one class your junior year and then the rest of the class your senior year and you will graduate with your CNA and High School Diploma

Alex Said:

A career that will be in high demand in the next 6 years.?

We Answered:

I would pay a visit to your college's career center. Specific departments are very enthusiastic and helpful in telling you "you can get this, this, and this job with this major," but they aren't always so good about telling you what the job market really is. For example, someone who majors in Classics or International Relations is going to find a much narrower and more competitive job market than those who go into medicine, accounting, education, and so on. Career Centers (sometimes labeled "Counseling", "Mentoring"... you get the idea) are much more unbiased and will tell it like it is.

Finally, if nursing isn't your thing, don't go into it. It IS in high demand, but there are plenty of other jobs that allow you to work with children (eductation, social work, etc.) that more closely follow the interests you listed. The job market is doing quite well for those, too.

Good luck, and don't be too concerned if you don't know what you plan to do right away. Most people change majors multiple times, and they have multiple careers after college as well, so keep an open mind...

Is True a Well Experienced/Motivated Web/Desktop Developer Can Start His Own Career Easily?

We Answered:

I wont say its easy, being in the IT industry for quite some time now i can say this. Its possible, you can do a full time job gain experience or else no-one will ask you to build anything however good you are, as it cannot be measured.
Experience is very important, once you have gained experience in some domain or Technology you can become a consultant and start on your own.

You can do this totally independently with the help of websites like Rentacoder, if you are a very good developer : http://www.rentacoder.com/RentACoder/Dot…

Again you have establish yourself, gain experience and if you are good you can make out a carrer out of it.

We Answered:

Why doesn't she go to medical school and go into pediatrics. Therefore she gets the best of both worlds. Or she can become a teacher, but you have to love to teach, and be around children.

A big College Question?? plz help.?

We Answered:

Are you talking about a CNA? If so, you are fine with a GED. In fact when I was in high school there were a few people in my class who worked as CNAs in the evenings, so I don't think it is required. It will most likely increase your pay though. ALWAYS, ALWAYS, ALWAYS, finish high school or get your GED. This way when you are further down the road and decide to try a different career path you don't have to return to get your GED. You can just start on your path. I wouldn't look to being a CNA for your lifetime career simply because it is very hard work for nowhere near enough pay, but it is a good position to get you into the health industry and let you see what other things you may be interested in that make more money and are usually easier on you.
