Career For Nursing

Heidi Said:

How long is a nursing career?

We Answered:

You can become a Registered Nurse with a 2 year associates degree. All together it may take 3 years for you to receive your associates degree in nursing because you will have to take all of your prerequisite courses first before you can get into the RN program. Some RN's choose to return to school later to get their bachelors degree in nursing so they can qualify for administrative positions, but it is not required. You can still become a RN with an associates degree.

In order to become a CNA you would only have to attend school just for a couple of weeks. And CNA's do not make much money at all. They only make a little bit more than minimum wage. You be more better off becoming a RN.

Good luck to you and whatever field you choose.

Here are two more helpful links that i have provided for you. It gives you more info about Registered Nursing field.

Chad Said:

Persuing a nursing career with a misdemeanor on my record is it possible?

We Answered:

If you were a minor, then it is sealed, your records as a minor are always sealed and not viewable to anyone. If you were charged as an adult, it would show up, but it wouldn't disqualify you from nursing. The kinds of charges that disqualify you are things that indicate you would be a risk to place in charge of vulnerable adults and children, like abuse, neglect, violent kinds of charges. I've worked with nurses who have stolen narcotics from their workplaces and were shooting up in the bathroom, and although of course they were fired, they didn't lose their license over it. So no, a DUI wouldn't do it either.
