Certified Nursing Assistant Jobs

Lloyd Said:

How to write a resume when you are looking for a Certified Nursing Assistant job?

We Answered:

Your resume should be structured just like any other resume. In other words, your contact info, experience, schooling, and skills. So you'd talk about the kinds of things you've done and/or learned about with regards to being a nursing assistant and working with patients. And anything outside this that's related to it. For example, working in the business world doing customer service. Although this isn't medical-related, there are connections to being a CNA. And that's because CNAs provide customer service too. The only difference is who a CNAs customers are; they're patients!

So you'd focus on the kinds of skills and abilities you have that would make you a good choice to hire as a CNA. This includes information about your certification. For example, if you have it already, then say so! Or if you're close to getting it, then indicate when you'll be getting it.

Here are some general skills and experiences a CNA would generally need: taking patient vitals, making sure they take their meds, preparing or helping them cook their meals, taking them or doing their shopping, dealing with problems that may arise, and being able to work with patients of varying ages with a multitude of physical ailments and/or mental illnesses.

Are there any open certified nurses assistant jobs open here in Louisville Kentucky?

We Answered:

Louisville has a truck load of nursing jobs. You just need to approach the different hospitals personally (Baptist, Norton etc.). You mention that you were ill sometime back. Is it because of your age? Looks like you are computer savvy and you should not face any problems in getting a nursing assistant job.

Certified Nursing Assistant jobs question?

We Answered:

Absolutely NONE. I'm not sure where you are getting your information from, but CNAs normally make $8-14/hr, countrywide. However, with experience, you can obviously make more.

I live in NYC and I was in a Nursing program with someone who was working as a CNA. She had 5 years of experience and was making $19/hr. That is pretty much the higher end of the scale. Other cities probably don't go above $15/hr.

I think it's a nice job, if you can support yourself off it. Whatever you do, don't go into Nursing. CNAs may do dirty work, but believe me when I say that your position is much more gratifying.

God Bless! I have a lot of respect for CNAs :-)

In Southern Indiana, it varies. One of my jobs in an assisted living facility starts out at $9 an hour and at my other job in a long-term care facility starts out at $10.10 an hour. One of my friends makes $12 an hour but it is a privately owned facility.

Certified nurse assistant jobs in the inland empire?

We Answered:

Nursing homes are always short-staffed, so you should have no problem finding a job. Try home health agencies, too.
Do the CNA class first, then phlebotomy.
