nursing: L&D and neonatal?We Answered:
for either of these, u would first have to become an RN (registered nurse). once you are a nurse, i think you can specialize in those areas. my friend is graduating from nursing school soon and she's staring out in the post-op section of a hospital. i found this website that talks about the different types of nurses out there, I hope this helps u out....good luck!Carlos Said:
Questions toward Nurses. Any would help out. Thanks!!?We Answered:
1. I have an MSN. No, more education for me. Having my MSN I have strengthened my earning potential.2. I started with my Associates degree and then worked through out my schooling to get my MSN. When I first started it was a lot of grunt work, emptying bed-pans and such. I did not like the way other nurses treated me, when I had a lower education, I had more work experience than most of them but a lower degree. Often times you have to work with other nurses, doctors, plastic surgeons, PTs, OTs, etc. in hospitals health care providers often over-lap with the same patient.
3. With my degree I could take a teaching position/management position, but I chose not too, I enjoy working hands on with patients.
4. The best part of my job is making a difference, I love to tell people good news.
5. The worst part is losing patients, it is bound to happen in this line of work but knowing that it will happen does not make it any easier.
6. The only thing that has changed is my degree I have been an RN all along
7. There will always, always be a need for nurses, as long as there is a population people will be getting sick. Hospitals are understaffed and staff is over-worked, I think there will be an increase in nursing students across the country but there will still always be jobs for nurses.
8.Anatomy, that is the most important class, you need to memorize the material and keep it with you always, just learning it for a test is not enough, you have to know it.
