Facts About Nursing Career

Misty Said:

What are the chances a doctor and a nurse will be in a relationship?

We Answered:

I'm a nurse and married a doctor.

Daniel Said:

Is my nursing career over, before it's even started?

We Answered:

I think you better find another career. I have been in the hospital and having tests the past few weeks, and if any of those nurses had seemed nervous, I would have been a mess, as I already cannot stand needles, esp. IVs. This is the reason I did not choose nursing.

If you want to work in the healthcare field with kids, consider speech, occupational or physical therapy. EXCELLENT careers. No needles. :)

Beverly Said:

Are criminology careers in demand in Florida? Or Nursing?

We Answered:

Currently in Florida, using one job search engine (careerbuilder.com) there were 3 criminology positions open all requiring a Master's or Doctorate degree, there were 2,215 nursing jobs available from associates degree and up.

Nursing is a major shortage field everywhere, and is the top health career field for job opportunities in the US currently.

Nathan Said:

nursing....?

We Answered:

Schools have to accommodate people with disabilities according to the Americans with Disabilities Act, and I'm pretty sure that this means learning disabilities because I've had classes with people that had special testing circumstances set up for them to take their tests and stuff. Also, where I go to nursing school (and I'm sure it's this way everywhere), there is a lot of support, from peers and teachers. Nurses are caring people and the nurses that are your educators will truly care about you. There are counselors available too that will help you. And not all of your time will be in the classroom, we spend about half in lecture and about half in clinicals. If you truly want to do it I know you can. My boyfriend has a learning disability that has discouraged him from pursuing things too and I always tell him that just because you have a disability that doesn't mean that you can't do things. If you are physically disabled it doesn't mean that you can't get from point A to point B, it just means that you have to do it in a different way. You're no different.
