What are jobs a teen can do at a nursing home?We Answered:
Yes you can go there and say that you're willing ot assist in the nursing home. I am not sure what they would be able to get you since there are some thing that you cannot do at your age.Ted Said:
Where do I find the "non" nursing home jobs for a CNA?We Answered:
Ok, say you apply at the hospital and you are put on the Cardiology, Orthopedics, Oncology, etc... halls. Most of your patients are going to be elderly. That is just who needs the most medical care.If you want the work in Pediatrics, L&D or in the Nursery, I can almost guarantee that you will need experience.
As for physician's offices, most use Medical Assistants rather than Nursing Assistants. And those positions for CNAs in offices are very competitive- who wouldn't want office hours? You would need experience.
You don't have to stay working with the elderly, you can move to working in L&D and with children, but you probably will not start out doing that. They want experienced CNAs- not someone fresh out of CNA school who might not be able to handle it. They need to know you have a strong work history as a CNA.
Sooo many new CNAs say they will never work in a nursing home. I've heard it a lot. But most do have have to start out in long-term care.

Does anyone know of any L.P.N jobs in the Columbus, Ohio area? I am not really looking for a nursing home job.We Answered:
Get out the yellow pages and look up nursing and call the agencies. There are always lots of openings for LPNs to do home health work.Ben Said:
I have a question about nursing home work?We Answered:
Some places train their staff. Get out the yellow pages, call nursing homes that are near your home and find out if they require prior training or if they train you. If you go to yahoo yellow pages and put in your address, they will list them with the ones closest to your home first after the advertisements. They are looking for dependable people who show up on time and call in if they can't come in. There is a shortage of people in that field.Janet Said:
jobs at nursing home or hospital? We Answered:
I think its great your thinking about helping the elderly. You could serve food, clean, or just read to the old people. My friend got a job decorating the place for christmas, and now she decrorates for all the holidays.Gets paid a crapload too.
