Samuel Said:

Where can i find information on nursing theorist?

We Answered:

Your local hospital should have a medical library, if not, your local library can point you to one. Medical libraries focus on all aspects of medicine and nursing, including nursing theory. Dorthea Orem is a popular nursing theorist to ask about when you visit the library.

Gene Said:

does anyone have any information on nursing pharmacology or human body holistics classes?

We Answered:

I think the nursing pharmacology degree is a level of nursing occupation so you will be a nurse first and then have some pharmacological capabilities. If your passion is nursing, then go for it. Some parts will be harder than others. Even if you decide to use a holistic approach, you will still need to understand the biology of our bodies to be able to apply your intuitive healing.

The primary pathway to professional nursing, as compared to technical-level practice, is the four-year Bachelor of Science degree in nursing (BSN). Registered nurses are prepared either through a four-year baccalaureate program; a two- to three-year associate degree in nursing program; or a three-year hospital diploma program. Graduates of all three programs take the same state licensing exam, the NCLEX-RN. (The number of diploma programs has declined steadily -- to less than 10 percent of all basic RN education programs -- as nursing education has shifted from hospital-operated instruction into the college and university system.)

Today Holistic Medicine embraces a wide variety of treatments that include such things as diet, massage, meditation, exercise, and herbal supplementation, as well as a dizzying array of specialized therapies like aromatherapy, reiki, and acupuncture. Practitioners of Holistic Medicine are at once on the cutting edge of modern medicine and connected to a five millennia-old tradition of harmony and well-being. Theirs is the goal of blending ancient wisdom with modern knowledge to better people’s lives.
