Interesting Nursing Jobs?

We Answered:

It depends on what is interesting to you not me.
i hate PEDS so had to quit the ER.
sit down and make a list of the things you love about nursing
and the things you hate.
you may find you may love home health/ hospice
or ER/ or ICU
you are the only one who can do this
one column pros of nursing and cons
say you hate working weekends and holidays

you really have to reach deep within and find out what makes u happy nursing really is the best field
there are so many positions in every field.,
so try it i am sure you can so this yourself
and good luck

if yes and maybe you enjoy the elderly maybe a nursing home it is only you that can make the choice

Shane Said:

What are some interesting jobs for a nursing graduate without actually working in a hospital?

We Answered:

School Nurse, community nurse, military nurse, live-in nurses, nurse lecturers, nurse consultancy for TV and films. Also there are nurses who travel around the world picking up sick people on holiday and escorting them back to their own countries. My personal favourite would be the England football team nurse.

I am interested in attending nursing school, If one must work, what some good jobs to apply for ?

We Answered:

Get a job that will make you tips and has flexible scheduling, like waitressing or delivering pizza. I would also recommend other health-care related jobs such as CNA, etc., but it might be harder to get the schedule you need, and the money isn't all that great. Take out student loans if you have to supplement your income. It's good debt, an investment in your future. It's scary accumulating debt, but student loan debt is something you won't regret once you're working as an RN.

I HAVE A 4YR BA (POLS&PSY) LOOKING @ JOB CHANGE. INTERESTED IN NURSING ANY IDEAS OF SHORT EXISTING PROGRAMS?

We Answered:

Hi,

Nursing is more of a hands-on job that requires thorough training, since you are talking about savings lives and caring for the patients.

I don't think getting training on-line will prepare you for such responsibilites.

However, you can look at the following :

1. Get some courses waived since you have your 4 yr BA Degree. That will save you a lot of time.

2. Look at the following web site :

http://www.discovernursing.com/jandj.asp…

Johnson & Johnson has been trying to get more people to take up the profession of Nursing. Therefore, you can apply for scholarships and grants through the company.

I believe they can also help you with job placement after you finish your studies.

That should help you financially if you do have to go back to school for a short period.

Hope this helps. Good luck !!

EDIT : "shorty_gyrl_99" is right. You can also go to the community colleges. However, that will get even easier if you can qualify for scholarship / grant through J & J.
