Jobs For Lpns
Armando Said:
how many jobs exist as LPNs in 2008?We Answered:
There's about 719,000 nurses employed, not including self-employed...hmmm..wonder what unemployed would be..http://www.bls.gov/oes/current/oes292061…
Here's some links that might help:
http://www.fedstats.gov/
http://www.bls.gov/home.htm
http://www.bls.gov/cps/home.htm
If you can find a state on the number of LPN workers collecting unemployment, then add it to the total employed..that might be total jobs I'm thinking?

Do LPNs Do Surgery For Patients ?We Answered:
No, a nurse normally does not do surgery. (There are exceptions but we're not going into that.)Re: taking away life. You can do that if you make a mistake. One of those mistakes can result in you never work again as a nurse.

What type of jobs for LPNs?We Answered:
I know, the spam has gotten SO out of control on yahoo answers. It is ridiculous. Several doctors offices still hire LPN's. You may also check into home health care too.You may want to check out "www.allnurses.com". It is a forum just for nurses. There is a tab at the top that says "Students" and there are all of the student discussions, including those specifically targeted towards LPN's (or LVN's as they are called in some areas). Good luck with school!

CNAs, LPNs or RNs----Which jobs would you pick for a Nursing student? We Answered:
The first thing you need to figure out is do you have to have hours every week. Per diem is hours given when there is an extra need, example; If someone calguaranteeiANYand they need to replace that person. Even if they ask you to work a certain time you can always be called off, in other words they tell you they don't need you any time before you are do to go into work. If you need time so you get money then you actually need to go part time because going per diem does not guarantee any hours. If you can take a chance on not having any hours then take per diem. But at least when you go part time you have how many hours you are hired for.Remember in a Nursing Home is primarily older people where the hospital is a variety of different ages.
