I think the RN is one of the most unappreciated jobs there is. You seem to get abused by your employers, the doctors, and sometimes the patients. You work long hours and from what I hear most hospitals are understaffed. RN's are the first to see the trauma patients and I believe are mostly responsible as first liners for saving lives. I have nothing but total respect for most RN's. I know they have saved my bacon..
