Jobs In Nurse

Marjorie Said:

what are the best nurse jobs and how much they get paid$$$$?

We Answered:

I have worked as a Nursing coordinator, staff coordinator, recruiter and scheduler for Nurses for almost 15 yrs. Please do not go to school for the money! It's not the best paying Job but you can make a descent living at it. You have to do the job with a heart, not just do it for the money please. Nurses are very much needed, you will always be able to get a job, as long as you keep your nursing license clean and don't harm anyone. What type of Nurse, LPN or RN?
You can go to a Vo tech school for 11 1/2 months or close to it to become a Licensed practical Nurse. Try that first maybe instead of going straight for the RN License and education.
Get a job as a CNA (certified Nursing Aide) to see if you want to be in that type of environment.

Army Jobs: Nurse, or CMT?

We Answered:

You probably need to preface your question by letting everyone know you're in the UK and not going to the US Army. I expect there are some different standards and expectations. The British Army may well train nurses or your idea of nursing may be different than the US.

Tyrone Said:

what kind of nurse jobs are there?

We Answered:

School nurses, deal with kids but outside of hospitals and with children who aren't deathly ill, so not really sad. I worked doing pediatric home health when I first got out of nursing school, most of the patients had good prognosis and were healthy enough to be at home (in fact some of them were so normal and healthy I felt like an overpaid babysitter). Also working in a pediatric doctors office may not require a lot of that if the office has a lab tech to do blood draws.

The most important thing you need to remember is that you still have to deal with blood, guts, and poop during nursing school. Even if you think that you know the specific field that you want to go into, you still have to learn about and get clinical experience in every other area (geriatric, labor and delivery, mental health, medical/surgical, etc.)
