New Grad Nursing Jobs
Jordan Said:
Does anyone have info on nursing jobs or nice neighborhoods in the Austin or Round Rock area?We Answered:
In Austin: Anywhere west of Mopac (loop 1). This would include NW and SW Austin also. The more west of down town you go, the nicer it gets. Central is nice and older and charming but also close to UT which could have an impact on traffic. In Round Rock, there are quite a few nice areas and gated communities as well, since it is a big suburb. For nursing jobs, try Dell Children's Hospital, St. David's Hospital, any of the Seton hospitals, Brackenridge Univ. Hospital. There are some new hospitals going up around the Round Rock/Georgetown area.

jobs for new grad with BSN but without rn license (yet)? We Answered:
I would try to get any job in the Medical field, it will all build upon itself and look good on a Resume. Hit up every assisted living facility, hospital or clinic. The job you get right away may not be the best paying nor the most fun, but it will benefit you in the end.Tom Said:
Are there nursing jobs for new grads in the Denver/Front Range Colorado? How hard will it be to find a job?We Answered:
is colorado reciprocal with Mo or Ka on licensing? if not theres a bit of a hassle with the new license. other than that the world is her oyster, shouldnt have any trouble as long as not too picky about hours etc.Marion Said:
New nursing grad with 2 jobs?We Answered:
If the second job stated that they would not work around your schedule, then you have no choice but to quit. Let them know that they will either have to be flexible with your schedule, or you will have to turn in your resignation. No guilt - it is their choice.Carla Said:

New Nursing Grad....Trying to Find a Job?We Answered:
I'm not a nursing student, but I know two women who just finished nursing school. They both work midnights- 4 12 hour shifts in a row (terrible!)
If you want to do days (and can't find a hospital job that allows this) you may consider a senior nursing home. They don't pay as much, but it's a place for you to get some experience, so maybe a hospital would take you on days. Other then that, don't give up and think about expanding your job search (i.e. distance).

I am going to be a new grad from nursing school, trying to decide between two jobs that I have been offered? We Answered:
but are you sure you wouldn't rather just work from home? JUST KIDDING! I am also graduating this June (yay us!) and I would definitely pick the progressive care job, for the experience... you won't get to communicate as much with the patients if you go into surgery, and i think building therapeutic communication skills is really important in the beginning. Also, congrats getting two job offers before you even graduate... here in our area new grads arent getting hired at all :(
