Nurse Career Description
Lorraine Said:
HI , im thinking of a change in career and wish to be a phlebotamist nurse, what is the worst case scenario? We Answered:
The easiest answer to your question is that a lot of techs wear protective eyewear so they don't have to worry about that. Fecal matter is no different than cleaning up after a dog or baby.Mathew Said:
Career question? about to graduate H. school? read description? We Answered:
These are the steps to become a nurse (RN) http://www.rn.ca.gov/careers/steps.shtmlp.s. You can do the AA degree instead of BSN (above)--and that cuts it down to 2 years.

Questions about being a nurse? We Answered:
Nurses have to be good at math and science.so do good in those classes.
Theres nurses for every department ex: pediatrics, Neonatoal, Midwifrey, Emergency room, etc..
Salary can be from 40,000 to 100,000 but you don't start with a good salary, you work your way up.
Nurses are great people that care and are compassionate. If you aren't afraid of guts, vomits, feces, urine, and blood falling all over you then go ahead. Also emotionally you must be strong because you will see children abused and almost dead and everyone eont live.

Do i need just an RN license to work as a Forensics Nurse, or do i need a specialized degree? We Answered:
I think you need an RN degree, which believe me ,it is not easy. I know because I am one. You must take Anatomy and physiology, organic and inorganic chemistry. You must take English and have a very good vocabulary. There are also two years of clinicals that you must go through and you are given a patient assignment. The course load is very heavy and I know several girls that have already flunked their course work twice. I have been a nurse for 20 years, but if you can get through it, the pay is good. I believe that with forensic nursing you need additional training and certification. Regular RN jobs are very demanding and stressful and you are generally understaffed with a great deal of responsibility knowing that lives are in your hands because contrary to popular opinion, in small community hospitals , there are no doctors in house, and you are it!!! I guess with forensic nursing it would be better because your "patients" are already dead.
