Are there any legal nurse consultants out there? We Answered:
The less "country" your state or city is, the better the chance of finding a job as an LNC. Bigger cities, more upwardly mobile states, seem to have more openings and more awareness of what an LNC can do.Therefore SC has not really caught on to the LNC role.
NC is a little better.
GA especially in the Atlanta area, usually has jobs available.

Jobs for Nursing consultants in long term care field in Mississippi? We Answered:
I would think that a person with your high level of skills would be snapped up in a heartbeat especially by a government agency.I've found that ajb.com is a wonderful place to look for jobs that are affiliated with government contracts, they are free and might be a good place to start.
Best of Luck,
Michael

Certified Legal Nurse Consultant?We Answered:
My sister is an RN with a BSN and looked into this option recently. Our family is very close friends with one of the more prominant attorney's in Charlotte, NC, and one of his specialties is medical malpractice. You always hear claims of making $150 to $200 per hour...but what these courses don't tell you, is how LITTLE hours it takes to review a case.
Keep in mind, that our lawyer friend has a 7-figure practice...a very large firm that he owns...he said he has NEVER had the need for a full-time CLNC, nor knows of any attorney that has one full time.
He also says that he rarely needs one. He said if the case is important enough, he can get a PHYSICIAN to do the review for about the same money....which carries far greater weight in court.
Not sure if that helps, but once my sister learned that, she didn't persue it any further.
