Nursing Career Development

Diana Said:

What do you think of my career development plan?

We Answered:

Victoria-
I'm sure you can do anything you put your mind into. Personally, I feel it would be in your best interest to receive some sort of Associate Degree in Liberal Arts (generally takes about 2 years) and then pursue either a certification or another degree in whichever field you choose. In this day and age, a college degree means everything. Maybe during the course of your associates degree, you might find that you want to be an accountant or registered nurse. I can tell you from experience that none of those career paths you have listed will provide you an opportunity for further advancement.

Freddie Said:

Has I.T. become a career with a bleak future?

We Answered:

IT can never be completely outsourced. There will always be a need for systems analyst, database administrators and help desk technicians at the actual home base.

One sure fire way to never have your job outsourced? Get a job in the government.

John Said:

what are some possible career options for me?

We Answered:

You should consider allied health careers. There's more jobs behind the scenes than you would think. You also generally don't have to work in direct patient care - this could be a benefit or a disadvantage depending on your preferred work environment.
