Nursing Career Guide
Peggy Said:
Can I apply for Green card with an associate degree in Nursing ?We Answered:
It is not a matter if you have ADN or BSN, the most impt thing is to find somebody to sponsor you. It will take a few yrs with lots of paperworks, need to advertise in newspaper that nobody is really qualified except you (Which is tough on your case, since there are a lot of nursing grads right now). Then you will get your interview with the INS, when approved then you get your coveted green card. Good Luck!Kristin Said:
can some one guide me through the nursing career!?We Answered:
Bottom of the heap- CNA or NA; they are certified medical assistants or nurses aides. They help out on the floors doing baths, bed making, taking vital signs.LPN or LVN is a licensed practical nurse or licensed vocational nurse. They study for a year to a year and half and work under an RN's supervision. Hospitals are not looking for LPN's much these days. They can mostly be found in doc's offices and nursing homes.
RN's.
Registered Nurses can have the following educations;
AAS- Associates degree
Dip- Diploma in Nursing(hardly any of those kind of programs left)
BSN-Batchelor of Science in Nursing
Now then, once you have RN after your name, it doesn't matter whether you are an AAS, Dip, or BSN. A staff nurse is a staff nurse, and an RN is in charge of other RN's, LPN's and NA/CNA's.
If you are going to look into becoming an RN, get your BSN, because that opens all kinds of doors towards real promotions, to charge nurse, the head nurse. It also means that if you want to go onto graduate school, you just need to have the grades and the GRE scores. Much easier.
Then the next level up are the Master's Degree prepared nurses;
Nurse Practitioner
Certified Registered Nurse Anesthetists
Nurse Educators
Nursing Administration
And other master's level prepared nurses.
You can also take a Master's in Public Health
And then there are those who get PhD's in nursing.

Im 16 guide me through a career!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!…We Answered:
If you are successful in any of those careers you won't make an hourly wage, it will be salary based, which means that you will make a certain amount per year. How much you make depends upon the level of education that you have, and those careers require quite a bit of education. The psychologist and veterinarian would make the highest salary, and the detective and medical nurse would make less.You really shouldn't base your future career on money, because you will find a way to make it in any career. Choose something you like and maybe talk to people around you, or your high school guidance counselor.
