What do you think of what I got on the ILP quiz (career quiz)?

Don't base your career choice on a stupid quiz.
Do what you want.

Alicia Said:

I have no idea what to major in or what I want to be. What should I do?

We Answered:

First off, you must not care at the least what other people say or what they think you should do. Think about what YOU want to do, what do you love to do.

If you really don't know anything, go to the website of the college you're going to, look at their majors. Explore these areas, see what interests you, try and find out what you would want to do for the rest of your life. The average college student changes their major 4 times, maybe wait till college to explore different subjects of interest?

Here's something I learned the hard way: Never choose a career path/ major based on how much money you'll make. If you hate science/ medicine, don't let the thought of nursing even come into your head! The last thing you want to do is choose something you hate, and regret that decision 40 years later.
"Find a job that you love, and you'll never have to work another day of your life."

This is how I chose my major: "It is a cold and miserable January morning and you are nice and warm and cozy sleeping in your bed but you have to wake up and go to an 8'o clock lecture. What course/ what subject/ what academic discipline will motivate you to go to that lecture?"

One more tip: "If you're good at something, never do it for free."

Hope I helped.

Nursing School (GPA Concern)?

We Answered:

First word of advice, don't stress yourself out too much. The prereqs are there to make sure you have the knowledge needed to succeed in nursing school, but I understand how hard they can be, especially when you are taking summer courses.

This, of course, all depends on what nursing school you are trying to get in to and what college you are at. However, I will share a little piece of knowledge - there are thousands of people wanting to get into the same nursing school as you. However, about 80% don't have the drive, the ambition, and by extension the grades to succeed.

The most important thing is that you care. Know why you want to be a nurse, study hard, work hard, do good work, and don't be put off by the grade on one test. I know the feeling that causes, but honestly, a C is not that big a deal in the grand scheme of things.

Good luck!
