Nursing Careers And Salaries
Beverly Said:
Should I choose a career in nursing or art?We Answered:
Artists that have business sense and know how to market themselves can make a steady living throughout their lifetimes. Don't believe the lie that artists are starving and poor. Its not true. Its all about how you carry yourself and your business. Even professionals are losing their jobs in this economy. So here's what you should do. Research the photography field, study how people have become successful photographers and then do what they did. There's no such thing as job security, corporations even in the health field are loyal to no one. Job security is an illusion. Whatever you decide, just make sure you can support yourself through your skills and your ability to sell yourself to an employer or a customer.

Nursing salaries in Thailand?We Answered:
Yes, nurses are paid from $150 per month. An experienced and well-qualified nurse can make $300 per month. On top of that, they will receive tips and gifts, free or subsidised accommodation and meals. If you do not hold Thai nationality, you need to be aware that nursing is one of the many proscribed professions for foreigners under Thai law. That means simply that it is absolutely illegal for foreigners to work as nurses in Thailand and no work permit can be issued. Work permits can be issued to work as a consultant where in theory you would tell a Thai nurse how to do his or her job but you would not be able to do any actual work.
I'm sorry if this spoils your plans but that is the situation and you may need to rethink a little.

What careers start off their salaries at around $50,000 a year besides a nurse? We Answered:
hardly any job pays that much to start - $35-45k is average - engineering pays more, but requires a lot of heavy duty math just to get accepted into an engineering programif you have already spent 2 yrs in a nursing program, changing to anything else will probably take at least 3 more yrs to get a bachelors degree - a lot of the courses you took may be useless in other majors and won't transfer
