Nursing Careers Australia

Jacqueline Said:

I am British and want to pursue a career in nursing in South Africa and or Australia, how do i go about it?

We Answered:

If you are planning to study nursing in Australia, then you would need to attend university here. This means that you would be paying international student fees which can be around $20,000 pa plus living expenses. If you can afford that, then this is an option to consider. Once you have graduated you could apply for Permanent Residence and be able to work here. We are always in need of nurses.

Hope this helps.

Nursing in Australia?

We Answered:

You won't have any problems getting work - there's always a shortage of nurses.

I think your first step would be contacting the NSW Nurses' Association. - http://www.nswnurses.asn.au or http://www.health.nsw.gov.au/nursing/ for more info. Pay rates etc should be all on the site.

Good Luck ...
