What are the best technical schools to be an registered nurse? We Answered:
If you're talking about technical schools, schools like Everest and U of Phoenix offer relatively affordable programs that will get you employed. There are better schools, but experience is more valuable, so you might try those. Here's a school search site:

How long to become a Registered Nurse with a Bachelors in something else?We Answered:
If you want to get a Bachelor's of Science in Nursing, you'll most likely need to complete the required nursing courses and labs, since your prereqs are already complete. I would check with an admissions counselor at the schools you're considering to be sure.I would also ask how long these classes will take and how much they will cost, because another (and possibly quicker and less expensive) way to become a registered nurse is to get your Associate's Degree in Nursing. This degree is usually offered by junior and community colleges, and can be completed in roughly two years. You could also consider a nursing diploma program, which are offered by hospitals and take about 3 years to complete. Either of these options will allow you to become a registered nurse also. (But one thing to note: If you think you would want to go on and eventually pursue your Master's in Nursing, which will allow you to enter more advanced specializations and fields, you should earn your BSN now, since you'll need it to enroll in graduate school.)

Does anyone know of any Registered Nursing schools that pay full tuition? We Answered:
I don't know of any schools that offer to pay full tuition for RN programs, but there are numerous hospitals throughout the country that offer "Earn as You Learn" programs to become an LPN or RN. The hospitals have partnerships with the local colleges to enroll a limited amount of students into the college's nursing program. From what I have seen here (Florida) most hospitals require you to have your prerequisite general education requirements completed and usually require you to be an employee of the hospital. They have you sign a contract, stating you will maintain a certain GPA level, work a minimum set of hours in the hospital per pay period (usually as a CNA), and they pay you a set wage for your work hours and your actual classroom hours. Most of them also have a post-graduation requirement of a 2 year work commitment in that hospital's area of need. All this is in exchange for them paying your tuition, books, lab fees, and all other required fees related to your "nursing" level classes.Amy Said:
how many years is a Registered Nurse in school? We Answered:
There are 3 ways to become a RN. Most popular way is the ADN, it's a 2 year associate degree. The other is the BSN, a 4 year degree in college. The 3rd is a hospital diploma which is a 3 year degree. There is a catch, depending on which state you wish to get licensed, while ADN is the fastest way to earn, some strict states like New York, they want additional education that you must take which adds another 1.5 years. To enter a RN program, you need the prerequisites. Each program is different, but generally they want a high school diploma, the basic sciences, microbiology, physiology, anatomy, math, and english. Double check their requirements. Good luck!

I want to become a registered nurse. How are the online schools??We Answered:
You can't become an RN online. There are a lot of lab classes and clinical experience required that you must do in person. I can't imagine that any online nursing programs are legit. You may be able to take some pre-requisite and distribution courses online, but not completely online.Mark Said:
do nursing schools look at your gpa?if so what does your gpa have to be to apply for registered nurse? We Answered:
All postsecondary institutions are going to look at your GPA. Suggested GPA minimums are often not much lower than a 3.0, but even if your GPA is lower they cannot preventing you from applying or make an official minimum cutoff, as that would be illegal.Keep in mind, nursing programs are very competitive because it costs so much money to for schools to educate nurses. Most schools actually lose money on every nursing student they teach, but offer the program because of the schools mission; so the more you can offer a school the better chance you will have.
