Associate Degree in Registered Nursing? Schools?

We Answered:

Whatever "private" school you attend, just make sure it's accredited by the NLN or you will have a hard time getting your license issued by your state nursing board!

How much money do Registered Nurses (RNs) usually start out making after graduating from school?

We Answered:

yeah, u can make 60K starting out, it really depends on location. I know some ppl wanting to stay in the big city making $24/hr, while my other friend moved to the outskirts of texas and is making $48/hour, plus tuition reimbursement but its very under staff and has to keep a 2yr contract.

registered nurses?

1-The options in nursing are uncountable. Hospitals, clinics, home care, insurance, camp nurses, school nurses, teaching, management.....its a great field to go into.
2- Cant tell you what a Utah salary is- but Im a staff RN in WI and I make about $65 grand a year after taxes etc taken out, and I get about 6 weeks of paid vacation a year, plus payed sick leave in addition to that. I only work 3 (12 hour) shifts a week.
3 - I went to school for 4 years and earned my BSN
4- I am not a math person either. I had to take a statistics class, and I got an A in it. I shocked myself. It takes alot of studying and dedication, but totally worth it. There was no other math involoved. (a bit in chemistry ) There is no math involved in my job either- and i work in ICU

Registered Nursing Schools?

We Answered:

where are you located. This matters. Most community colleges in California have nursing programs, all similar, but slightly different. At the community college level there really is no such thing as a "good" school, this is all a matter of opinion or preference.
