How to explain a resume that shows multiple jobs for short periods of time due to a spouse as a Traveling RN?We Answered:
Hello - I believe that you should tell it as you did on here - the truth! you have done a great job :)Larry Said:

What jobs can I get where I can move to different cities, keeping the same job as I move?We Answered:
You could get employment at a temp agency that has offices nationally.Eva Said:
Should I move to California? Are there jobs for RN's?We Answered:
I live in CA. We are having some of the highest unemployment in the country--12.5%. Health care jobs are not plentiful here and neither are teaching ones. They exist but you have to search for them. On top of it, we have a very high cost of living and Irvine is right up there. Sales tax is around 10%, your car insurance will go way up, houses are still relatively expensive. YOu have to do your homework. I get job offers from Iowa all the time, and Texas among others but never CA. You just might want to broaden your outlook beyond CA.Brian Said:
What would be the best, most exciting RN job I could shoot for?We Answered:
sounds fun.. cuz the most horrific thing you'd have to deal with on a cruise is sea sickness.. other than that, you'd be on a cruise! but the bad thing is that the staff always has to sleep in the basement of the ship which is actually pretty torturous from what i've been told.Tiffany Said:
What are unique RN jobs?We Answered:
Nurse paralegals have interesting jobs, and they make excellent money--they help lawyers prepare for litigation in medical malpractice and similar cases. You might have to get a paralegal certification depending on what attorneys in your area are looking for as far as experience and education in the legal field.Dorothy Said:
Steps,Requirements&Payrate of Traveling RN nurse? We Answered:
First, you need to get your RN degree. You can do this either at a community college (this is an associates RN but still an RN) ; this will take you 2 years of core nursing and 1+ year of pre-reqs such as anatomy, english, algebra, etc. Or you can go to a university that offers a 4 year bachelors RN (more expensive). Either way, the school MUST offer a nursing program (there is NO other way). **I would start at the community college which may be free for you and take it from there. No need to get all excited--take it ONE step at a time & you will be fine. You can work for a few years as an RN and save up $ to get the BSRN. That way you will have some experience under your belt & some $. Don't rush! Before you travel, however, you will need to plan on several years of working in a hospital for experience. Traveling RNs must be experienced as there is no on the job training for travelers--they need to be able to drop into a job and start working. Once you are experienced, then you can look for Travel Agencies (no need to list them now as you are years away from this); the pay is good, but will be different by the time you are ready, so don't worry there either.
The NCLEX is hard (it has to be!) but if you do well in school, you should be prepared.
Good luck.
