Who Nursing Jobs

Jimmie Said:

Nursing Jobs in Lebanon... Anyone who lives there, please read.?

We Answered:

nurses can easily find a job in Lebanon, it won't be that high salary usually. American degree will give you opportunity to be accepted in AUH which is a special hospital and give special opportunities.
Note that some lebanese nurses "wish" to work in US.

David Said:

What kind of jobs are good for nursing students who are pursuing their BSNs and are not yet RNs?

We Answered:

As zaeli22 said, you can work in a hospital.

I did the same, I worked in a hospital in what is considered a "PRN position" which means part-time no benefits. You work basically whatever hours you can do. For me, I worked some evening hours during the week and weekends. When school got too heavy I went down to weekends only.

Check with the hospitals near you and tell them you are a nursing student and looking for work. The position you can obtain depends on the state, but is essentially similar to a C.N.A. position but usually you are allowed to work at a more advanced level. You will also get a little bit of home-team advantage doing this -- when you graduate, you will have a foot in the door and a better chance of working the specific area that you want to work in.

One thing that you will have to wait on -- most hopitals won't hire you for such a position until after you have completed some type of nursing fundamentals course (basic nursing skills).

Harry Said:

What are the jobs available for a person who has a ph.D in Nursing?

We Answered:

Teaching, consulting, research, become a Dean at a college, high-up administrative positions in hospitals, etc.

Essentially you wouldn't be doing any patient care. . . you'd be over-qualified.

If you had a Doctorate of Nursing Practice and became a Nurse Practitioner, then you'd be doing patient care as a primary caregiver.
