What kind of world is it when people who choose nursing, etc. as a career aren't interested in helping others? We Answered:
People are often attracted to healthcare because the money is generally very good for the amount of training needed. This attracts people who have no idea what they are getting into, and sometimes it means that they don't care and people get hurt. It is sad, and they should be charged with neglect and never be allowed to work in healthcare. However, the hospitals should not be shut down. This would put all the caring nurses that were in no way involved and that could not have prevented it out of work. All the patients they care for would have to find another place to receive care, which can be hard to do. A couple of really bad people does not mean the entire hospital is horrible. They need to fire who was responsible and start making some policy changes and enforcing ones already in place to prevent anything like this from happening again.

I am considering Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner as a career. Which one should I choose, and why?We Answered:
Its up to you. A PA must work under the supervision of an MD, in most states NP's have autonomy and do not require the supervision of an MD. Good Luck!Stacy Said:
Will I regret choosing nursing as a career? We Answered:
I work in healthcare and would much prefer nursing to the incredible costs and liability associated with being a physician! You will be much more in control of your on-call schedule, can be picky about what shifts you will work and (with experience and good grades) can choose the best assignments! If you decide later, you can always take advanced coursework to become a Nurse Practitioner or Physcian Assistant... Again, the on call (if any) is not nearly as rough as it is for physicians. And if you prefer, there are many well-paid Nurse manager positions available to choose from.
Bottom line... If you want to take care of people becme a nurse. If you want to cure people become a doctor.
Good Luck!
