My opinion, if this were my child, I'd start in January, the more intervention earlier, the better the outcome later, a wait only delays intervention he could be receiving.I don't see what the negatives (the cons) would be of enrolling him in school in January, as for waiting until next September, think of the time lost that he could have been receiving additional services.

Special Education would cover all the bases. Early Childhood education, Elementary education, psychology, speech/language, physical therapy, occupational therapy would all offer good coursework. Be sure to learn sign language too. Today even babies are being taught sign language. Have Fun! These kids can break your heart.
